Mariano’s Tastemaker—Pastry Chef Meg Galus of NoMI Kitchen

By kikilu — August 26, 2013

Months ago I announced I was hosting the Mariano’s Tastemakers campaign. It’s garnered some buzz around town as we’ve attracted some of the best chefs in Chicago to join me in shopping the store. As the official ambassador for Mariano’s and an enthusiastic supporter of the culinary industry, I’ve lead the selection process and am excited that each chef has showcased Mariano’s in different light.

This month, pastry chef Meg Galus of NoMI Kitchen, located in the Park Hyatt, walks the aisles as we talk cheese, wine and sweets. I didn't want readers to miss Meg's recipe for Strawberry Tea Soup, which can be poured over ice cream or served in little shot glasses for the perfect ending to any meal. Since I'm awful at baking (truly)…I love this recipe. Stay tuned for next month when I shop the store with chef Bill Kim.
