This segment was filmed over the summer at The Bazaar in the SLS Hotel in Los Angeles. Chef Jose Andres is the 2011 James Beard "Outstanding Chef" winner and the restaurant should be on every foodie's bucket list of places to dine. While he was not “in the house” I managed to get the Chef de Cuisine Joshua Whigham to cook with me for Cooking with Beauty. Arriving in the kitchen, I was a little intimidated because for one, it was ENORMOUS and two, even the kitchen was sexy…like the dining rooms throughout The Bazaar. And then there was Josh, he was pretty darn cute himself. 

A few minutes into filming, we realized my billowy shirt was flying everywhere…not good by an open flame. Chef was quick to pass over his apron to keep me tied together and well behaved (not always an easy task). He made sure to have me cook the dish which always makes for a better learning experience. Some chefs prefer to demo the dish on camera (control freaks) while most actually allow me to cook alongside. Josh was great walking me through the process and explaining ingredients.
