On Thursday, February 7th, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, The Joffrey Auxiliary Board invites guests to the Third Annual Pointe of Departure Art Exhibition; an evening where the stage and canvas collide. Inspired by the movement of dance, selected artists were commissioned to create original pieces of art that will be available for sale to benefit The Joffrey Ballet.

The theme of the Third Pointe of Departure Art Exhibition is taken from the title of The Joffrey’s Winter Program, “American Legends”, which features pieces by Jerome Robbins, Twyla Tharp, Gerald Arpino and Stanton Welch.  Participating artists were encouraged to explore creative interpretations of “American Legends” ranging from classic examples of American art and dance to famous Americans.
