Today is a work day…not a food day. It takes a ton of planning on where I eat next and who I interview. I scour the internet and other reviews of the supposedly “best” eats in a given town. I plan for months. Just because someone has a few bad remarks…do I dine anyway and offer my own opinion? I call it “wasted calories” when I eat a bad meal. So, how do I decide where to go and how risky am I? The first place I go for suggestions is my friends in the kitchen. My chef buddies who travel all over the world for food. Just like me. They seem to be the only ones on par with my culinary expectations. There is a mutual understanding of what my needs are when it comes to dining. Oh, and anyone traveling with me doesn’t get a say where we eat. It’s my thing. Take it or stay home. 

This summer, I am going on two food trips. LA and Spain. I am bleeping excited and looking for love…food love. Not your average meal and it doesn’t need to be fancy. It needs to be good, damn good. So, any true lovers of food with suggestions a little off the grid for LA, Madrid and Barcelona…send em’ my way. Maybe, just maybe, you will get a nod on Beauty and Her Feast for your thoughtful recommendation.
